Care Instructions
Korellia sheets are crafted to withstand everyday use and frequent washing. With proper care, your cotton percale will maintain its exceptional feel for years to come.
- Wash before first use.
- Machine wash at 60 °C with similar colors.
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on high heat (cotton setting, max 200 °C).
- Do not dry clean.
- Use detergent sparingly. Avoid fabric softeners, as they coat the cotton fibers and reduce breathability and absorbency.
- Reshape while damp after washing and hang to dry.
Tip: Cotton percale naturally softens over time with every wash while retaining its signature crispness. A slight, natural wrinkle is characteristic of genuine percale. For a perfectly smooth finish, we recommend ironing the sheets while slightly damp.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does percale feel cool?
Yes. Because of its tight, crisp weave, percale doesn't cling heavily to the body, allowing air to circulate freely. This gives the fabric its signature cool and airy feel.
How does percale differ from cotton sateen?
Percale features a matte finish and a cool, crisp texture. Cotton sateen is woven differently, giving it a silkier drape, a subtle sheen, and a warmer feel. Percale is the ultimate choice if you love the fresh, crisp feel of luxury hotel bedding.
How does percale differ from regular cotton?
The tightly woven one-over-one pattern makes percale significantly smoother, crisper, and more refined than standard cotton weaves. You can immediately feel the premium quality against your skin.
Is percale a good choice for sensitive skin or dust allergies?
Yes, highly recommended. The smooth, tightly woven surface naturally repels dust and lint, and the ability to wash the sheets at 60 °C ensures they remain hygienic and fresh.
Why are there no hand holes in the top corners?
Eliminating top corner openings provides a clean, seamless look and prevents the duvet from peeking out or sagging near your face. The duvet is easily inserted through a single discreet opening centered at the bottom edge.
What does the set include?
One sheet set includes one duvet cover (150 × 210 cm) and one pillowcase (55 × 65 cm). For a double bed, you will need to purchase two sets.
What does OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 mean?
The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification (SE 12-1093 RISE) guarantees that every component of the product has been rigorously tested for harmful substances and is completely safe for human health.
